Throughout the process, there were many challenges to overcome. The main concept of this project was to develop a connection of data throughout the experience. That meant not just creating a CMS to manage and help host the data, but how to represent interaction between the users of the platform (real employees).
The concept to solve was simple, using a UX mind of empathy, problem solving, and cirtital thinking, come up with a platform that lets employees step in to the shoes of the personas they represent. Then build off this representation by performing induvial and group activities, brainstorm new ideas to help company growth, expand on reputation and brand, and earn rewards to continue the engagement over time.
The first attempt of the solution was more primitive, however, knowing how well people engage with social media, this was an opportunity to piggyback on the retention most social media platforms have. Thus resulting an a gamification approach. Users simply login, see their ongoing progress of available activities. See their competition gaining ground on their progress to help drive their motivation to go above and beyond their colleges. And be incentivized by rewards, merchandise, paid time off, etc.
Miro was the hero of this show, allowing myself and other individuals on the team to contribute in real time. This allowed us to analyze what could, what should, and what absolutely must be in the MVP. Once declared, the next step was to Identify a CMS. Being experienced in Webflow was more than enough to put a few pages together and decide it was the right solution to finish the prototype.
When all was said and done, the pitch was the next and final piece of the puzzle. FitTown Gym is a fictitious name and company used as a persona for the primary project. The executive has chosen to use this entity as their demo's persona to show it's versatility in any business, even though it was specifically designed to be used in a corporate medical industry. Tearing down and rebuilding the tool to deliver as a software solution for any company presented challenges within itself, but I was able to build in a new leg of the CMS to identify a login and profile system that solved that without a hitch. I was able to build a demo video and release of the prototype ahead of schedule.
